    Manhattan motorcyclist dies in Cloud County crash

    MILTONVALE ( KSNT ) – A motorcyclist from Manhattan is dead after a crash west of Miltonvale on Sunday.

    The Kansas Highway Patrol said in a crash log that at 9:55 p.m., a 47-year-old was driving a 2006 Ford Econoline Van west on US-24 Highway. A 63-year-old man from Manhattan was driving a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle east on the highway.

    The 47-year-old went into the eastbound lane for an unknown reason and hit the 63-year-old’s vehicle. The Ford Econoline hit a pole before coming to rest in a field, according to the KHP.

    The 63-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. He wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the KHP. All occupants of the Ford Econoline were uninjured and wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
