Austin Moore only has one more season left with the Kansas State football team, but his family will continue to represent the Wildcats for years to come.

K-State received some good news on the recruiting front on Wednesday when it gained a commitment from Ashton Moore, a 6-foot and 200-pound linebacker from Louisburg who just so happens to be Austin’s younger brother.

Ashton Moore announced his intentions to play for the Wildcats via social media, less than 24 hours after Austin Moore wrapped up a long day of football interviews at Big 12 Media Days at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

“I’m excited to announce my commitment to Kansas State University,” Ashton Moore wrote on X. “Thank you to my family, coaches, teammates and everyone who has supported me along the way, especially the Louisburg community. Go Cats!”

Ashton Moore chose the Wildcats over Old Dominion, Illinois State and Pennsylvania.

He became a recruiting priority for K-State after Austin Moore became a starting linebacker for Chris Klieman. The Wildcats originally took Moore as a walk-on but he rose up the ranks and earned a scholarship as his playing time increased.
