Kansas State holds off Kentucky, Nebraska, West Virginia for latest football pledge

The Kansas State football team won a notable recruiting battle for its latest pledge.

Noah King, a three-star athlete who is expected to play defensive back in college, announced his intention to play for the Wildcats on Monday. He chose K-State over Kentucky, Nebraska, West Virginia and several other schools.

King is a 6-foot-1 and 195-pound playmaker from Fairfield, Ohio who ranks among the top 30 recruits in his home state, according to On3, Rivals and 247sports.

The Wildcats made King an early recruiting priority and he rewarded them with a commitment.

King is the 16th known member of K-State’s recruiting class for 2025, which is currently headlined by five-star tight end Linkon Cure.

That group could grow in the near future. Logan Bartley, a three-star safety from Naples, Florida, withdrew his commitment from Wake Forest on Monday. That could pave the way for him to flip to K-State, which has been recruiting him hard this month.

The offseason is about to end for K-State coaches. Players will report for the start of preseason camp on Tuesday in Manhattan. But that hasn’t stopped the Wildcats from recruiting as July comes to an end.
