    L subway service delayed after person seen on train tracks in Manhattan: MTA

    MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Subway service on the L line was severely delayed in both directions Tuesday morning after a person was seen on train tracks in Manhattan, according to the MTA .

    The MTA originally said the person was struck by the train at 6th Avenue, but later clarified that someone was seen on the tracks. Current delays on the L line are due to track maintenance , with limited service between Broadway Junction and Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway, according to the MTA.

    For travel alternatives, you could’ve transferred at Broadway Junction to A, C or J trains for service between Brooklyn and Manhattan.

    You could’ve also transferred at Myrtle-Wyckoff avenues for the M or take a bus to the nearby A, C, J and M stations.
