Hell’s Kitchen Assemblymember Tony Simone Hospitalized With Appendicitis

Hell’s Kitchen Assemblyman Tony Simone is recovering at the hospital after having his appendix removed, according to an announcement on Wednesday.

Last weekend AM Simone, who has served in the Assembly since January 2023, was hospitalized with severe stomach pain.

Medical staff at NYU Langone determined he was suffering from a ruptured appendix, which was removed in an operation yesterday afternoon.

Simone has spent the majority of his adult life on Manhattan’s west side . He loves the neighborhood’s strong community bonds, vibrant small businesses and arts & culture scene.

“Assemblymember Simone wishes to express his immense gratitude to his doctors and the entire medical staff at NYU Langone, who have cared for him with professionalism and excellence,” an announcement read.

“He also is deeply grateful to his husband Jason, who has been by his side for every moment.”

Simone plans to spend the next two weeks recovering at home before resuming his full schedule.
