Severe weather isn’t expected but we could see a few cold air funnels Monday afternoon. These funnels aren’t associated with severe weather, and they rarely touch down. City Council Report: New south side distribution center approved against community opposition
At Tuesday’s City Council, Springfield alderpeople voted to approve zoning variances on a proposed warehouse project in the south of Ward 1. Located on Palm Road at the foot of the Chatham/I-55 interchange, the new warehouse is anticipated to bring in “hundreds” of jobs to the Springfield area. Variances including relaxing building height restrictions as well as allowing for taller, barbed fences in accordance with national security requests, as the site is believed to be intended for storage and distribution of food products.

Fox, daughter of Stacy Dunham, took part in the pageant recently as Li’l Miss Knox County. Fox recently turned 9 years old and will be a fourth grader at Galesburg Christian School.
