    Warriors boys track attends the varsity showcase at MNSU in Mankato

    The Warriors boys track team traveled to Mankato Saturday, March 20 for the Minnesota State University, Mankato Varsity Showcase track meet to start off the spring season.

    Through Coach Reese Wait, Caledonia's MVP of the meet was Josh Beardmore, who placed in multiple events among individuals competing for 30 teams.

    Caledonia results included:

    Eli Staggemeyer, Owen Staggemeyer, Josh Beardmore and Gabe Curley took fourth place in the 4x200 Relay.

    Josh Beardmore took second, followed by Eli Staggemeyer at 12th and Gabe Curley at 16th in the 60m.

    Fischer Wait placed fourth in the 400m.

    Josh Beardmore placed fifth in the 200m, as well as first in the long jump event.

    Beardmore racked up the most team points by any individual participant at the meet. He has committed to playing football at Winona State University after his high school career.

    Next up for track, both boys and girls will participate in a meet at Plainview-Elgin-Millville on Friday, April 12 at 4:30 p.m.
