Who's winning the depth chart battles on defense?
Over the course of the offseason and heading into fall camp, one of the positions with the most new faces and uncertainty as to who will be starting and getting significant snaps has been the secondary (and linebackers). Even with preseason practice almost at its conclusion, the picture there isn't totally clear to fans. WVU defensive coordinator Jordan Lesley, who's held that title since 2020 and helped guide the Mountaineers to a top-ranked defense that season, was asked about those position battles and the depth chart of the defensive back unit heading into game week.
