Pitt HC Pat Narduzzi Offers Appreciation to WVU as Willing Rival
In the midst of taking another shot at Penn State, Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi also offered WVU a compliment. When asked about the importance of rivalries during the ACC Kickoff event on Tuesday, Narduzzi made it clear he wants to play the Backyard Brawl as much as possible. He even offered appreciation for the Mountaineers for being a willing participant, a stark contrast to what Pitt deals with when it comes to trying to schedule Penn State.
Rain showers and possible storms today and tomorrow before high pressure finally settles into the area
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Good morning NCWV! We are halfway through the week and we are still seeing these much needed rain showers this morning. These rain showers are remaining relatively scattered throughout the day as this frontal system is still stalling over us, but we will see an increase in showers later today as another frontal system is starting to push into the Ohio River valley and is going to be in NCWV by the end of today. With these scattered showers throughout most of today, our high temperatures are going to be very similar to yesterday only getting into the low to mid 80s in the lowlands and the low to mid 70s in the higher elevations.
WVU fall camp preview: Tight Ends
It's about that time again, which is crazy because it feels like just yesterday I was writing the spring camp previews. Back then, football preparation was taking a backseat to the pending basketball coaching search. This time around, fall camp will be in the spotlight of the WVU sports world. Today we continue the position-by-position preview for preseason camp. The Mountaineers went 9-4 last season, including beating up on UNC in a bowl game that ended with Neal Brown being covered in mayonnaise. West Virginia football enters the 2024 season with significant wind in its sails, so fall camp should be particularly interesting to watch next month. At this current time, there is no media access schedule.

Scattered showers continue through Thursday night; sunny for the weekend
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - A few stationary systems, one to our north and one to our south, are providing the eastern half of the United States with rain and non-severe thunderstorms. Here in NCWV it’s no different. The precipitation is well needed, as all of our area is under some level of drought (in fact, over 99% of WV is in drought). Isolated to scattered rain will continue through Thursday night before the systems sink to our south. Stretches of mostly cloudy skies and even a few peeks of sun are likely during this time, but any showers that form could be heavy. Since we are still so dry, flooding shouldn’t be an issue, but if a very localized area gets hit with a few heavy showers in a short period of time, minor flash flooding can result.
