New Mylan Park Ice Rink to home WVU Club Hockey
The Mylan Park Foundation will begin construction on a new ice rink this fall, providing a new home for WVU Club Hockey and Morgantown ice recreation activities. The new space will be the second ice rink in Morgantown and the newest addition to the foundation’s 14 indoor and outdoor sporting facilities in Monongalia County, according to its website.

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - The heat wave continues across the Mid-Ohio Valley this week. Temperatures were able to achieve 98 degrees in Parkersburg on Monday which broke the daily record high of 95 degrees. This is only the start of a stretch of temperatures in the upper 90s across the Mid-Ohio Valley. Despite a somewhat cool start to the morning, we will quickly warm up before noon. We will look at the upper 80s easily coming back by around 10 a.m. this morning. By noon, we are back in the low 90s. Daytime highs will be up into the upper 90s. Today’s daily record high sits at 100 degrees. There is a chance we could tie that, but we are more likely to stay in the upper 90s instead.

Manchin announces $400,000 EPA allocation to extend Pickaway waterline
UNION, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV) – member of the Senate Appropriations Committee – on Wednesday, announced an allocation of $400,000 from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to extend the Pickaway waterline, expanding access to clean, reliable drinking water for residents of Union.
