Man dead following shooting on East Texas Street in Bossier City
BOSSIER CITY, La. - Bossier City Police responded to a shots fired call along the 1600 block of East Texas Street Saturday evening. Officers found one person suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was sent to Ochsner LSU where he died. The shooting remains under investigation.

Schools take on Better Me, Better School Challenge to improve, earn cash awards
SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Four high schools take on the challenge to be better and earn award money for their school’s programs and student activities. In the 2024-2025 school year, four Shreveport schools are taking on the Ryan Williams Better Me, Better School Challenge, which encourages awards for schools based on participation and good behavior. The awards that are given either go to the school’s athletic program or where the students and parents decide.
Louisiana fugitive arrested in Lock Haven
Lock Haven, Pa. — Police arrested a Louisiana fugitive in Clinton County. Christopher James Kelley, 32, was stopped by police for a traffic violation on the 200 block of Woodward Ave, in Lock Haven. Kelley was found to have an outstanding warrant for a drug offense out of the Jefferson Parrish Sheriff's Office in Louisiana, according to a release from the Woodward Township Police Department. Kelley was taken into custody, charged for being a fugitive from justice, according to the release from Woodward Township Police Department. He is currently at the Clinton County Correctional Facility awaiting extradition to Louisiana.
