Gallatin man charged with felony first-degree rape; bond denied
A Gallatin man has been charged with felony first-degree rape or attempted rape following an alleged incident on August 25. Micah Samuel Ray, 30, was denied bond, according to online court records. The court also denied a request for a bond change on August 26. A bond hearing is scheduled for September 3.

A man has been charged with murder for shooting another man in the Walmart parking lot near I-29 and Barry Road on Wednesday, Aug. 21. Taquiza V. Johnson – a former Kansas City Police Department officer – is accused of second degree murder and armed criminal action. Johnson is being held without bond. He has a court appearance scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 3.
An Arkansas man accused of raping woman 20 years ago pleads down to lesser charge
An Arkansas man who was accused of raping a woman in Boone County more than 20 years ago is headed to prison. Lonny Caldwell, of Fordyce, Arkansas, was charged with one count of forcible rape in February of 2023. He was extradited from Arkansas to Boone County to face the charge.
