Shelby Area Democrat Club to meet Thursday

SHELBY − The Shelby Area Democratic Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Sutter-Roush Room, 23 E. Main St., directly behind the Municipal Utilities Office.

Tracee Anderson, executive director of Community Action for Capable Youth (CACY), will be the speaker. A short business meeting will follow.

CACY serves the Richland County community with prevention programs for youth covering violence, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, gambling and suicide. It also provides support and mentoring for parents. Anderson will talk about the history of CACY and their ongoing programming.

The gathering will be hybrid − in person and via Zoom. Those who wish to attend via Zoom should send a request for the link to shelbydems@yahoo.com. The request must be received by noon Wednesday. The public is invited to attend.
