    MANSFIELD — It's time to make your vote count.

    Voting for the Mansfield News Journal Female Athlete of the Week is now open.

    Here are your nominees.

    VOTE: READER'S CHOICE: MNJ Male Athlete of the Week

    *Lucas’ Rebekah Case broke the school’s pole vault record with a jump of 11 feet, 4 inches during the Mid-Buckeye Conference Championships.

    *Lexington’s Olyvia Stoots won the Ohio Cardinal Conference championship in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 2 inches.

    *Lexington’s Elyana Weaver was named the Ohio Cardinal Conference Female Athlete of the Year when she won the high jump (5-1), second in the 1,600, first in the 800 (2:19.26) and anchored the third-place 4x400 team.

    *Madison’s Alisha Hill was named the OCC Female Field Athlete of the Year when she won the discus championship with a throw of 118-3.

    *Madison’s Nevaeh Lewis set an OCC record in the 100-meter dash with a 12.37 while also winning the 200 (25.33) and anchoring the 4x400 team (4:08.15) to a win.

    *Shelby’s Princess Timko won the MOAC championship in the 100 (12.63) and 200-meter (26.61) dash leading the Whippets to a team championship.

    *Ontario’s Sasha Bulakovski won the MOAC title in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.26.

    *Shelby’s Channon Cundiff won the MOAC title in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:33.21.

    *Clear Fork’s Asia Bechtel won the MOAC title in the high jump with a leap of 5-feet.

    *Shelby’s Madison Henkel won the MOAC title in the long jump with a leap of 17-09.50.

    *Clear Fork’s Mel Blubaugh had three hits, four RBIs and two runs scored in a 13-2 sectional championship win over Bellevue.

    *Lexington’s Jillian Morr had seven hits, four RBIs and six runs scored across three Lady Lex victories.

    *Lucas’ Maddie Boyer had two hits and an RBI including a home run in a 9-8 sectional championship win over St. Paul.

    *Madison’s Emma Stankovich had four hits and two RBIs over three Ram wins including two hits and an RBI in a 3-0 Division I sectional championship win over Oregon Clay.

    *Ontario’s Brylie Ireland had six hits, four RBIs and five runs scored in three Warrior victories.

    *Shelby’s Mallary Gundrum had two hits and four RBIs in a 13-3 victory over Pleasant.

    *Crestview’s Makena Tackett had four hits, three triples, an RBI and a run scored in a 12-0 win over St. Paul.

    Voting ends at 7 p.m. on Friday.

    Last week's Mansfield News Journal Female Athlete of the Week winner was Crestview's PJ Endicott who piled up 13,528 votes.
