    Here are your nominees.

    *Ontario’s Peyton Dzugan allowed one run on four hits with 17 strikeouts in the Warriors’ 4-1 sectional championship win over Clyde.

    *Clear Fork’s Luke Schlosser allowed just two hits with 11 strikeouts in a 3-0 complete-game shutout over Lima Bath netting the Colts the sectional championship.

    *Lexington’s Cooper Dreibelbis allowed two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts for the complete-game victory in a major 6-2 upset over Wapakoneta.

    *Plymouth’s Jarrett Burrer allowed just two hits with eight strikeouts in an 11-0 complete-game win over Lucas where he also had two hits, three RBIs and a home run to net the Big Red a sectional championship.

    *Lexington’s Ethan Remy and Dylan Catanese won the Division II district tennis doubles championship with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the finals.

    *Ontario’s Hector and Victor Sanchez Vidal became the first male tennis state qualifiers in program history taking runner-up honors in the Division II district doubles tournament.

    *Lexington’s Cooper Remy took runner-up honors in the Division II district tennis singles tournament qualifying him for the state tournament.

    *Shelby’s Marshall Moore won the Division II district championship in the 1,600-meter run with a new meet record time of 4:26.77.

    *Ontario’s Jace Young won the Division II district championship in the 800-meter run with a new meet record time of 1:56.69 and also anchored the district champion 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams.

    *Ontario’s Bodpegn Miller won the Division II district championship in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.14 in his first time running the event this year.

    *Ontario’s Dean Morrison won the Division II district championship in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10:03.78.

    *Clear Fork’s Julian Mills won the Division II district championship in the shot put with a toss of 49' 4".

    *Crestview’s Liam Kuhn won the Division III district championship in the pole vault with a leap of 13-06.00 and also won the 110-hurdles with a time of 15.90.

    *Crestview’s Wade Bolin won the Division III district championship in the shot put with a toss of 58-08.75 and the discus with a throw of 170-09.

    *Plymouth’s Riley Ramey won the Division III district championship in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.70.

    *Plymouth’s Layne Bushey won the Division III district championship in the high jump with a leap of 6-00.00.

    *The Crestview 4x400 relay team of Ayden Reymer, Bransen Hider, Cooper Brockway and Logan Friges won the Division III district championship with a time of 3:29.76.

    *The Lexington 4x800 relay team of Ethan Slone, Will Perkins, Chance Basilone and Latrell Hughes set a new Division I district meet record with a 7:52.03 topping a mark that stood since 1985. Hughes and Perkins were also part of the 4x400 crew that won a district championship in 3:20.73.

    Voting ends at 7 p.m. on Friday.

    Last week's News Journal Male Athlete of the Week was Madison's Owen Morrow who piled up 5,559 votes.
