    Voting for the Mansfield News Journal Female Athlete of the Week is now open for results from Aug. 26-31.

    Here are your nominees.

    FAST TIMES: Richland County Cross Country Scoreboard: Busy Saturday brings big results for runners, teams

    • Clear Fork’s Mel Blubaugh posted three goals in the Colts’ 10-0 soccer win over Galion. She later added three goals and an assist in a 7-0 win over Norwayne.
    • Mansfield Christian’s Haven Granter recorded six saves in the Flames’ 2-0 soccer win over Mansfield Senior.
    • Crestview’s Elyse Belcher scored a goal and assisted on another in the Cougars’ 3-2 soccer win over Mapleton.
    • Shelby’s Cami Wuchich won in second singles 6-2, 6-1 leading the Whippets to a 4-1 tennis win over Bellevue. She also won second singles 6-0, 6-3 in an MOAC win over Clear Fork and won second singles 6-1, 6-1 in an MOAC win over Ontario.
    • Mansfield Christian’s Adelle Cramer had 14 kills in the Flames’ 3-1 volleyball win over Plymouth.
    • Ontario’s Delaney Moritz led the Warriors to a golf win in the second round of the MOAC tournament with a 46-41-87.
    • Lexington’s Ava Brown eclipsed the 1,000-kill milestone with 20 in a 3-0 volleyball win over West Holmes. She also added 11 digs. She later added 29 kills and 17 digs in a massive 3-2 OCC win over Wooster.
    • Crestview’s Sophie Shifflet served for 20 points and added three aces, 10 digs and 18 assists in a 3-1 volleyball win over South Central.
    • Ontario’s Addie Pittman had three goals and four assists in the Warriors’ 13-0 win over River Valley. She also added three goals and an assist in a 6-0 win over Riverdale.
    • Shelby’s Lexi Mohn had 13 kills, two aces and two blocks in the Whippets’ MOAC volleyball win over Galion. She also added 11 kills in a 3-0 win over Crestview.
    • Ontario’s Sara Wharton collected 15 kills in a 3-0 volleyball win over Clear Fork.
    • Shelby’s Reece Friend scored two goals and added an assist in the Whippets’ 4-2 soccer win over Marion Harding.
    • Lexington’s Morgan Harrod scored two goals and added two assists in a 4-2 soccer win over West Holmes.
    • Lexington’s Makaree Chapman fired a tournament-low 75 during the second round of the OCC golf tournament helping her team take second overall.
    • Shelby’s Anna Will ran a 19:38.9 to take sixth overall as the top Richland County runner in the Division I race at the Ashland Cross Country Invite.
    • Crestview’s Leyna Gerich led the Crestview Cougars to a Division II/III team championship at the Ashland Cross Country Invite by taking fourth overall with a 20:10.2.
    • Lucas’ Chloe Sturts destroyed her own school record when she ran a 19:34.10 at the Bucyrus Elks Invite. She came in first place individually.
