    Lexington Minutemen win City Tournament golf championship

    MANSFIELD — The City title is heading to Lexington.

    On Friday morning, Ontario hosted the City Tournament featuring many Richland County schools.

    The Minutemen won it with a team score of 297 as Nate Dawson led all golfers with a tournament-best 70 while Jackson Durchick paced him with a 71 and Griffin Hughes carded a 75. Bailey Carmichael and Dawson Dreibelbis shot matching 81s while Dalton Mangas added a drop score of 94.

    The Clear Fork colts shot a solid 313 led by Clinton Stallard and Landon Ball with matching 77s while Bryer Ousley added a 79 and Xander Cyphers had an 80. Kaiden Dettmer added an 83 while Grant Keep shot a 90.

    The Madison Rams posted a team score of 317 led by Landon Goad with a 73 while Josh Maglott added a 77, Nick Maglott carded an 83, Liam Stone and AJ Studer added matching 84 and Lincoln Shepherd rounded out the scoring with an 85.

    Ontario came in with a 321 team score led by Mason Turnbaugh who shot a 76 while Colton Blevins added a 78, Cam Bulakovski carded an 83, Kolbe Ramion shot an 84, Raiden Rhinehart chipped in with a 93 and Miles Doehla rounded out the scoring with a 97.

    The Shelby Whippets shot a 339 as a team led by Grady Schroeder and Brayden Palm with matching 80s while Ryan Boggs carded an 88, Blake West shot a 91 and Thomas Lenahan had a 93. Nathan Oberdier rounded out the scoring with a drop score of 94.

    The Crestview Cougars carded a 350 as a team led by Carter Bowman with a 76. Kaden Dickerson added an 85 while Cole Bowman shot an 87, Zander Washburn and Kayn Patton shot matching 102s and Trey Swisher rounded out the scoring with a 110.

    The St. Peter's Spartans came in with a 398 led by Jay Kim's 77 while David Crundwell added a 92, Jack Thomson shot a 106, James Thompson and Quinn Chamberlin added matching 123s and Carter Feder rounded out the scoring with a 124.
