Laurel Health to move Saturday walk-in clinic to Mansfield

MANSFIELD, Pa. ( WETM ) – Laurel Health will be moving its Saturday walk-in clinic from Wellsboro to Mansfield beginning in August.

Walk-in care will be available on Saturdays at the Mansfield Laurel Health Center located at 416 South Main Street, beginning on Aug. 3. The clinic will be open to patients of all ages with no appointment needed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The move is being made to meet the demand of Laurel Health patients better and provide better weekend care access across its system.

The Wellsboro Laurel Health Center will continue to offer weekday walk-in care, primary care, mental health services and chiropractic care but will no longer be open for weekend walk-in care. Additionally, all Laurel Health Center offices will continue to offer same-day visits, as well as early morning, late afternoon or evening appointments throughout the week.

Laurel Health’s weekend clinic is available for patients to receive treatment for minor health issues that occur outside of regular office hours to avoid an unnecessary trip to the ER for non-emergencies that are still time-sensitive.

Walk-in care is meant to treat minor issues such as minor cuts or burns, sprains, rashes, urinary tract infections, tick and insect bites, pink eye, earaches and illnesses such as colds, strep throat, COVID-19 or the flu. The walk-in clinic is not intended for routine wellness care or emergencies. Anyone experiencing a medical emergency should call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.
