Natchitoches Police investigate shooting on Virginia Avenue
The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon on Virginia Avenue near Myrtle Drive. On July 25, 2024 around 4:54 p.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department responded to the 500 block of Virginia Avenue in reference to gunshots in the area. Upon officers arrival they located the victim who was suffering from several gunshot wounds. Officers began to render medical attention to the victim while waiting on other first responders to arrive.
