Fort Washington landlord to pay $570K to settle allegations of excessive rent collection from Section 8 tenants
The United States Department of Justice announced that landlord Allan R. Posner, a Fort Washington resident and owner of the Dresher-based ILJOR Properties, LLC, has agreed to pay $570,000 to resolve allegations that the property management company violated the False Claims Act during its participation in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP), commonly known as “Section 8.”

Herzog and DBK Start Preconstruction on Amtrak’s New Penn Coach Yard Maintenance Facility
PHILADELPHIA – Herzog Contracting Corporation and Dana B. Kenyon Company (DBK) have begun preconstruction on Amtrak’s Penn Coach Yard Heavy Maintenance Facility. In March, RT&S reported that Herzog Contracting Corporation was awarded a contract to design and construct a new Heavy Maintenance Facility in Philadelphia. This contract is for the first of six major maintenance facilities that will help to “modernize maintenance practices and ensure a successful transition from an aging fleet to modern, state-of-the-art trains.” The facility is located near Amtrak’s 30th Street Train Station in Philadelphia. This new facility will service Amtrak’s Acela, Airo, and Northeast Regional Trains that operate on the NEC.
