State Police arrest three people for allegedly driving drunk with children in the vehicle
State Police have arrested three people recently for allegedly driving while intoxicated with children in their vehicles. Andrew P. Smith, 36, of Troy, was stopped on Hoosick Street in Brunswick around 12:30 a.m. on July 21. He was taken to the State Police station, where he recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.27%. – over three times the legal limit. In addition, police said Smith’s license is revoked because of a previous DWI conviction.
Albany man faces drug charges after traffic stop
An Albany man is accused of possessing cocaine, meth and cannabis. Albany County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Malik Jackson, 41, in the area of Livingston Avenue and Henry Johnson Boulevard around 7:20 p.m. on Thursday. They found 13 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of meth and 5.1 pounds of cannabis, police said.
Jury indicts Kingston man for attempted murder
On Tuesday, an Ulster County grand jury indicted William Knox, Jr., 54, for attempted murder in the second degree, attempted assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.
