Driver Hurt While Performing a Stunt at a County Fair

(Maquoketa) The Iowa State Patrol reports a man suffered injuries when a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup attempting a county fair stunt lost consciousness when the pickup truck crashed into a camper as part of the stunt at the Maquoketa Speedway Sunday night at the Jackson County Fair.

The vehicle reportedly continued across the track and a highway before striking a shed. Rescue personnel removed the driver from the car. A medical helicopter transported the injured driver to an eastern Iowa Hospital.
