Sonoran Singers wiill Perform for Senior Village's Music Matinee in August
Our Sonoran Singers annual summer hiatus will soon be over, and we look forward to getting back in the enjoyment of singing together again. We are very grateful to be asked to perform for our SaddleBrooke Community in our first performance on Thursday, August 22 at the music matinee sponsored by SaddleBrooke’s Senior Village. As always, it is a free concert to all community residents. Join us in the MountainView Ballroom. The music matinee will begin at 2 p.m. with the Coyote Country Cloggers and the Sonoran Singers will follow next at 2:30 p.m.
SaddleBrooke Genealogy Club Summer Schedule
Starting in June, the club switches to a workshop environment where members and guests bring their laptops to the sessions. They work with the club’s experienced researchers on their own projects. It can be one on one, or small groups learning from club experts working on their own family trees. There was no meeting in July as it conflicted with the Fourth of July. Similar workshop sessions will be held in August and September.

A powerhouse of energy and great ideas, she recently accepted the reins as the SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary Club’s newest President on Thursday, June 20. Her inspiring and capable predecessor, Ron Lenz, also inducted new officers: Gary Haslett, Jennifer Williams, and Roger Swett in their respective roles as Secretary, Project Coordinator, and Treasurer. These friendly and dedicated volunteers—along with their club members—are committed to making a difference both inside and outside SaddleBrooke.
A National Champion and Personal Bests Highlight Swim Team’s Trip to Nationals
Over the course of a few days, Thursday, June 20 to Monday, June 24, six SaddleBrooke Swim Team members flew in to Indianapolis, Indiana to compete in the US Master’s Swimming Spring National Championships. The meet was held at the Indiana University Natatorium, down the road from the Lucas Oil Stadium, where the US Olympic Swimming Trials were taking place. The proximity to so much great swimming and amazing effort by elite athletes proved quite the inspiration to our friends, neighbors and teammates.
ADEQ: Drinking water not threatened by gasoline released from Circle K
CHINO VALLEY, Ariz. — Drinking water in the Chino Valley area does not appear to be threatened by a fuel release reported by Circle K earlier this year. An estimated 86,000 gallons of unleaded gasoline was reportedly released into the environment from a Circle K underground storage tank in Chino Valley. The release occurred over a period of about 18 days and was caused by a faulty component of the submersible turbine pump.
Circle K, nonprofit team up on emergency kits
Police officers know that seconds count in an emergency and having the tools readily available on hand makes saving the life just that important.
