National Weather Service confirms tornado in Colby
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The National Weather Service in Green Bay has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Colby on Monday morning. The tornado touched down on the eastern side of town in Marathon County. One home suffered siding damage, a couple of outbuildings were destroyed, and tree branches were snapped off. It was noted that the tornado may have started on the western side of town in Clark County but this has not been confirmed yet. Further surveys may be done to determine a more precise track of this tornado.

Suspect arrested in hit-and-run from last month
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A suspect has been arrested in a hit-and-run involving a car that crashed into two bicyclists in Marathon County in early May. Lt. Steven DeNovi of the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department said the suspect is a 42-year-old man from Shiocton. “I just got done speaking with him and he told me he thought he hit a mailbox,” Lt. DeNovi said. Investigators said the suspect’s name will be released after his first court appearance.
