Woman Accused of Road Rage Beating Incident in Ringle
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Marathon County woman is accused of beating another woman in what’s been described as a road rage incident in the Town of Ringle. Terra LaFave is facing a felony count for strangulation or suffocation along with misdemeanor charges for battery and disorderly conduct. Investigators say she was choking a woman at the intersection of Clubhouse and Ringle roads.

Ramp Up Marathon County kicks off 2024 season
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Ramp Up Marathon County was back in action this week to kick off the 2024 season in east Wausau. The team works to help people with mobility issues stay in their homes by building wheelchair ramps and raising money to cover the costs. The crew has been working at the site on North 4th Street for three days and expects to finish construction tomorrow.
Meetings to discuss recreational trail connecting Merrill to Wausau
Members of the Friends of the River Bend Trail in Merrill have long dreamed of extending the trail all the way to Wausau to the south and to Tomahawk to the north, and now initial planning has begun to determine the feasibility and planning for just such an extension, and they are inviting the public to learn more and provide input.
Gates Sentenced for Manufacturing and Delivering Fentanyl
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Kronenwetter man found guilty of manufacturing and delivering fentanyl will spend two years in prison and four years on extended supervision. Wyatt Gates was sentenced on Wednesday by Marathon County Judge Gregory Strasser to six years in the state prison system- including two years behind bars and four years on extended supervision.
Evon Handed Deferred Sentence for Disorderly Conduct, Sending Threating Messages
