Missing dementia patient found safe in Ithaca woods
ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – An Ithaca woman with dementia is safe after getting lost in the woods overnight. Tompkins County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a vulnerable missing 69-year-old on Winston Drive around 9 a.m. on Sunday. A concerned neighbor made the call and assisted authorities with information from a Wi-Fi tracker. The tracker last placed the woman walking into a wooded area on Meadowlark Drive around 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Owego resident rescued from fire on William Street
One resident was rescued and his home was damaged by a fire in the Village of Owego last Thursday. According to the Owego Fire Department, a neighbor called in the fire on William Street at around 6:45 p.m. on July 18th.
