Extreme heat across northeast Wisconsin sees some area airports in triple digits
(WFRV) – The National Weather Service in Green Bay has released its maximum heat index report for the past 12 hours, and some areas are seeing triple digits. According to the report, 11 of the 23 airports have temperatures over 100°F. The hottest reported airport is Shawano Airport, which registered a maximum heat index of 108°F. The Wautoma Airport and the Stevens Point Airport both saw maximum heat indexes of 106°.

Eau Claire Man Charged In Sawyer County With Child Enticement; Providing Drugs To Minor
SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) - Criminal charges are proceeding in Sawyer County Circuit Court against 42-year-old Jake Otten, of Eau Claire, WI, for alleged child enticement of a juvenile under the age of 17, providing controlled substances to the juvenile, and exposing himself to the juvenile. The crimes allegedly occurred in 2020 and 2021. Otten is subject to a $25,000 signature bond prohibiting him from having contact with the victim.

It was an exciting summer of golfing for the Repka family, as grandfather Jerry and grandson Andrew each made their first holes-in-one of their lives on local Barron County courses. Jerry Repka, at 81 years old, was golfing at Rolling Oaks in Barron when he collected the first ace of his lifetime on hole No. 10 in early July.
