    At least 30 homes in Caroline County were damaged by the tornado

    WRIC 8 News reported that at least 30 homes in Caroline County were damaged by the tornado with winds reaching an estimated 110 mph, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

    Path of the tornado

    The tornado touched down in the Lake Caroline subdivision and moved onto the nearby Cedar Fork Road. It traveled towards the Lake Caroline subdivision and began uprooting many trees.

    It entered the subdivision near the intersection of Senate Drive and Kennedy Cove, continuing to take down trees. Homes along Loyalist, American, West Point, Woodlyn, Powder Horn, and Admiral drives were damaged, including their roofs and siding, as trees and power lines fell on them.

    More than 30 houses were affected before the tornado dissipated near Lake Caroline Road and Waring Drive.

    WRIC 8 News received multiple photos of the damage from Lake Caroline residents and those in the nearby area. The photos show damaged vehicles, trees and branches in the road, and downed power lines.
