The Church Hill district is named after St. John's Episcopal Church, which is located at 2401 East Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia 23223.

That historic church is famous for the location where American Founding Father Patrick Henry gave his memorable "Give me liberty, or give me death!" speech at the Second Virginia Convention on March 23, 1775.

Today, the church serves an active congregation and ministries. It also receives tourists as a National Historic Landmark.
