    About Lexington, Virginia

    Lexington is surrounded by the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, making it one of Virginia's most picture-perfect small towns. According to its last census, Lexington is a small independent city with a population of fewer than 8,000. The city covers a total area of 2.5 square miles of land.

    Lexington is about 50 miles north of Roanoke, Virginia. It is best known as the home of two impressive schools, making Lexington the quintessential small college town.
