The Bloomin' Onion is a signature Outback item. It is a 1-pound of onions hand carved to 'bloom' open. The onions are breaded and deep-fried until golden. Then, they are ready to be dipped into Outback's spicy signature bloom sauce made with mayonnaise and horseradish and eaten before customers get their main meal.

There are other appetizers, but customers seem to favor the Bloomin' Onion.
