P.F. Chang’s operates more than 300 locations in 22 countries. However, there is only one P.F. Chang's in Richmond. It is at 9212 Stony Point Parkway, Richmond, VA 23235.

The name and iconic horse statues

The first P.F. Chang's opened in Scottsdale, Arizona on July 20, 1993. The name is a combination of the two co-founders’ names. P.F. = Paul Fleming and Chang’s = Philip Chiang.

Most people call it a Chinese restaurant because it has roots in Chinese cuisine. From the beginning, the menu was inspired by Asian food. Because the restaurant serves both Chinese and Asian dishes, Wikipedia calls it fusion cuisine.

"Fusion cuisine is a cuisine that combines elements of different culinary traditions that originate from different countries, regions, or cultures."

The iconic horse statues found at every P.F. Chang’s entrance stand guard as a symbol of strength.

    P.F Chang's menu

P.F. Chang’s food is made from scratch. Dim sum, wontons, and egg rolls are rolled by hand daily in every restaurant.

Every restaurant's #1 menu item remains the same. It is the famous P.F. Chang’s Lettuce Wraps.

Other items on the menu include Chang's Spicy Chicken, Peking Duck, and various types of sushi.

    Wok cooking

P.F. Chang's is the first internationally recognized multi-unit Asian culinary brand to honor and celebrate wok cooking.

Wok cooking is a 2,000-year-old tradition known to be one of the purest forms of cooking. Wok cooking gives P.F. Chang's dishes a unique flavor.

P.F. Chang's was the first national chain to use Sriracha, and now P.F. Chang's restaurants go through over 100,000 bottles of the famous hot sauce every year.
