A 12-year-old girl was identified as the suspect in a school threat case at Unity Braxton Middle School in the Manassas, Virginia. She is facing a charge for a threat against the school, according to police.

Prince William County Police responded around 8:36 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2024 to the school located at 10100 Lomond Drive in Manassas to investigate a threat. Police say the Prince William County student posted threats of potential violence on TikTok.

Even though the investigation found no credible threat to the school, the middle school girl was charged with threats by electronic means. The Juvenile Court Services indicates the case will result in formal action and continue through the court process.

    Statement on the school's website

There is a letter on the school's webite from Prince William County Police Department and Prince William County Public Schools concerning threats to the school. The letter warns of the dangers of threats and serious results.
