According to WRIC 8 News, a fifth-grade student at Clover Hill Elementary School shared a list of two students to kill. This prompted an investigation by the Chesterfield County Police Department on Friday, September 13, just before dismissal.

According to a spokesperson for Chesterfield County Public Schools, families of students in that fifth-grader’s class were notified of the list.

    Threat not credible

When the Chesterfield County Police Department investigated the threat, they found that the student had no access to weapons and no means to carry out the threat, and the threat was not credible.

Police said a threat assessment of the student was completed, and there were no charges.

This follows the multitude of threats made against other schools in Chesterfield County, as well as those made in other areas of Central Virginia last week.

I hope incidents like this don't continue. If schools have to go virtual again for safety reasons, it won't be good.
