WRIC 8 News reported on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 that Plenty Unlimited Inc. opened its first indoor vertical strawberry farm facility in Chesterfield County, Virginia.

The Plenty Richmond Farm is one of the first farms to open up on Plenty’s 120-acre farm site.

    About Plenty Unlimited

According to Plenty Richmond, the new facility is curated to produce over 4 million pounds of strawberries each year in a less than 40,000 square-foot space by growing vertically on towers that are 30 feet tall. The first set of strawberries from the farm is expected to be available in early 2025.

The new facility will exclusively grow Driscoll’s strawberries, a global leader among berries, integrated with Plenty's advanced-level technology.
