The Great Junk Hunt Coming to Monroe

    2022-01-31

Head on up to the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe this coming weekend for The Great Junk Hunt, but don’t forget to purchase your tickets in advance. Tickets will not be available for sale at the door and the only way to get them is online.

There are a few different tiers of prices for the tickets depending on entry time. Admission is based on the time you want to enter. The most expensive tickets are $20 for early bird attendees on Friday, February 4th at 3:00 pm. Every entry on Friday is early bird and costs more than the general admission tickets on Saturday, which run $8. Early bird tickets on Saturday are $12 for entry between 8:00 am and 10:00 am.

If you have never attended a Great Junk Hunt – either in Monroe or Puyallup – you may wonder if early bird tickets are worth the price. Dedicated antique hunters might tell you it’s worth it to get access to unique finds and limited supplies of some things, particularly because this is a very well attended show, no matter the location or time of year.

The show is curated, so vendors are screened ahead of time, and a huge variety of goods are available, from antiques to handmade items. You’ll find dealers, artisans, craftspeople and vendors with a great eye for bargains.

“Discover farmhouse, industrial, vintage, re-purposed, handmade and much more.”

This enormous market is regularly voted one of the best flea markets in the country by a variety of sources. It’s held in locations around America and is a regular feature in both Puyallup (where it started) and Monroe. Live music will be playing and cocktails will be available.
