Upcoming Food and Booze Festivals Around Puget Sound

Food trucks, locally crafted drinks, specialty food vendors, ciders, beer gardens, local artists, and music are staples of food festivals and the Puget Sound region abounds with them this summer. Some of offerings are family-friendly, while others are only open to the 21+ crowd. Check each event website for more information.
July 29
It’s free to enter the Vegan Street Fair in Ballard and the small plates from a variety of food vendors cost just $4 or less. Taking place in the Ballard Commons Park, this festival is all about the food, though you’ll find music, photo ops and more.
August 5
Take a ferry from downtown Seattle to the Kitsap Wine Festival, taking place on the Bremerton waterfront right by the ferry terminal. You’ll find music, food and lots of wine, with plenty of bottles to purchase and take home.
August 6
Hard cider continues to grow in popularity, and the Snohomish Cider Festival is a celebration of that. Taking place at the Thomas Family Farm in Snohomish, most of the cidermakers of the Pacific Northwest will be there.
August 11
TheFood Truck Roundup, put on by the non-profit Solid Ground, takes place in Seattle at Hangar 30 in Magnuson Park. Food trucks, vendors and a beer garden are the highlights. Tickets range from $20 to $45. A $35 Foodie Ticket gets you admission, 2 dishes from food trucks, and 1 nonalcoholic drink. This is as all ages festival, except for the beer garden.
August 12
Every year the United Way of King County partners with former Seahawks player Doug Baldwin, Jr. to host the Annual Community BBQ in Renton. It’s a big deal, with a variety of food vendors, music, dancing, games, and an area just for teens.
August 12
This is the 10th year for the Brew Five Three beer and music festival near Tacoma in Chambers Creek Regional Park. You’ll find great views, music and dozens of food and beverage vendors. Tickets include 8 tasting tokens. This is a 21+ event.
August 11-12
Up in Everett, theUpper Left Beerfest & Food Truck Festival is an adult only celebration of beer and food that spans several closed off blocks of Everett. All tickets include 6 tasting tokens, and there’s a special low fee for designated drivers.
August 11-13
Taste Edmonds has a large lineup of food vendors, beer and wine offerings, local chefs, including Ethan Stowell, music, and activities for both kids and adults. You can try a Seoul Hot Dog, listen to The Dusty 45s, and play cornhole, among many other things.
August 19
The huge and free CHOMP!Is put on by King County and takes place at the Willowmoor Farm in Marymoor Park in Redmond. This festival’s purpose is to highlight the local farms, organizations and restaurants of our area, and there are dozens of things going on. The Blind Boys of Alabama headline the music offerings, and food offerings range widely from crepes and kombucha to Cambodian food. Climb a tree, bring your clothes that need mending and meet some farm animals.
August 19
The Tumwater Artesian Brewfest is a 21+ only events taking place at the Tumwater Valley Golf Course Driving Range. Featuring beer, wine, spirits and ciders, this is a celebration of local breweries that includes food, games, and entertainment.
August 26
The Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Fest in Des Moines combines the hottest local brewers and the coolest blues music to support the programs of the Rotary Club of Des Moines/Normandy Park. Taking place at Des Moines Beach Park, this is a 21+ only event.
