Name Your Price at the NE Tool Library Sale

    2023-09-17

Need a lawn mower, circular saw, sander, hammer, shovel, pliers or picks? The NE Seattle Tool Library has you covered with their upcoming semi-annual tool sale. The event takes place on Saturday, September 30th from 9 am to 3 pm. That’s only 6 hours, so plan accordingly.

From small things like screwdrivers to bigger things like chainsaws, the tool library is letting go of thousands of tools, and the equipment you might need to complete plumbing and electrical projects, among many other things. The building can only hold so much so they periodically need to make room.

Prices are already ridiculously low, but because this is an organization dedicated to helping the community, they are willing to take any offer you make for a tool. You read that right – any offer. All the proceeds go to support the library and its mission.

The NE Seattle Tool Library also offers a seed library and things you might not expect, like flour mills and sewing machines. The catalog is very large. You can also take classes on things like basic bicycle maintenance and how to use routers. To check out tools you’ll need to become a member and pay a donation.

The library, and where the sale takes place, is at 10228 Fischer Pl. NE in Seattle.

Cool! I have heard about this place. I never could remember the name, though.
