Megan Rapinoe Plays Her Very Last Regular Season Soccer Game on Friday

When the OL Reign take to Lumen Field on Friday, it will be a historic night. Megan Rapinoe, one of the best women soccer players of all time, is retiring and it will be her last regular game.

She has an Olympic gold medal, two World Cup wins, three NWSL shields, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in her cap, among other things. After an 11-year career with the OL Reign (formerly the Seattle Reign FC), she’s ready to move on to other things, particularly her activism on behalf of LGTBQIA+ people and women in sports.

The game on Friday, October 6^th, is against the Washington Spirit and starts at 5 pm. Tickets are still available. Currently, OL Reign is 6^th in the standings and Washington Spirit is 5^th.

Depending on the outcome Friday, there could still be chances to see her play in playoff games. The team is working on it.
