The Earshot Jazz Festival Has Begun and You Should Hear It

    2023-10-08

The biggest and best jazz festival in Seattle is celebrating its 35th year of bringing both local artists and internationally famous jazz musicians to town. Running from October 6th through November 5th, you have plenty of time to take in performances and many venues to choose from.

Jam sessions, album debuts, resident artists, and the world premiere of three festival commissions cover the tip of the musical iceberg. Can’t make it to the concerts? Organizers are providing livestreaming with tiered ticket prices. Watch from the comfort of home.

If you love the energy and intimacy of live jazz, venues include Town Hall, the Kirkland Performance Center, Nectar Lounge, The Royal Room, the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center, and the Chapel Performance Space.

You can purchase a Gold Card that gets you into all of the performances, or just buy a ticket to a single event. There are also a limited number of free tickets, so fill out a form soon if you need one. Find ticketing information here.

There are too many renowned and emerging artists to list them all, so check out the full festival schedule to make your plans. A fun local choice is the Battle of the Bands between Garfield and Roosevelt High Schools.
