Three national parks cover a vast swath of Western Washington: Mount Rainier National Park, Olympic National Park, and North Cascades National Park. In this region of outdoorsy people, chances are you’ve visited at least one of them.

Today is your chance to visit again without paying an entrance fee. It’s the first day of National Park Week, and to kick things off, all entrance fees are waived. For example, an Olympic National Park pass costs $30 per vehicle, so this is a significant savings.

There’s a theme for every day of National Park Week, and Saturday, April 20 is all about discovery. It’s the perfect opportunity to visit a new area of one of the parks. Haven’t yet hiked through the rain forest or taken in the views at Hurricane Ridge? Today’s the day.
