Spend the Fourth comforting shelter pets at the Maumelle Animal Shelter
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Maumelle Animal Services will be hosting a Comfort a Shelter Pet event on the Fourth of July for the third year in a row. The shelter, located at 425 Cogdell Drive, will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for people to spend time comforting animals that may be scared of fireworks.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — In August, a qualifier event for the largest start up competition in the world, called the Startup World Cup, will be right here in Northwest Arkansas. Jonesboro Man Accidentally Shoots Himself
JONESBORO, Ark. – An accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound sent a young man to the hospital this week in Jonesboro. It happened around 9:45 AM on July 2, 2024 on Richsmith Lane. Initially, police were responding believing the incident to be a suicide attempt. The girlfriend of the victim had made the 911 call, but was out of the county, which caused some of the confusion. Authorities cleared the scene and detectives arrived to process evidence.
