Arkansas State Police arrest suspect involved in Jacksonville shooting that injured child
JACKSONVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas State Police arrested 28-year-old Terry Rhodes Jr., a Jacksonville shooting suspect who has been on the run since early June. The Jacksonville Police Department said Rhodes was arrested Tuesday and will be charged with 14 counts of terroristic act, one count of possession of firearms by certain persons, one count of first-degree battery, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of aggravated assault.

HOT SPRINGS — National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk Athletics named Dion Hargrove as Head Men’s Basketball Coach this week. Hargrove joins NPC after three seasons as head girls’ basketball coach at Bentonville West High School. During his 34-year coaching career, which includes stents at 10 high schools in Arkansas and Missouri in both boys’ and girls’ basketball, Hargrove has amassed a 771-342 record, which includes one state championship, 14 state tournament appearances, five regional championships,12 district championships and nine conference championships.

Jonesboro Man Accidentally Shoots Himself
JONESBORO, Ark. – An accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound sent a young man to the hospital this week in Jonesboro. It happened around 9:45 AM on July 2, 2024 on Richsmith Lane. Initially, police were responding believing the incident to be a suicide attempt. The girlfriend of the victim had made the 911 call, but was out of the county, which caused some of the confusion. Authorities cleared the scene and detectives arrived to process evidence.

Woman Arrested After Repeated 911 Calls
JONESBORO, Ark. – A woman who called 911 on several women found herself going to jail after police arrested her over the weekend in Jonesboro. The incident went down between 8:45 PM and 9:37 PM on June 30, 2024 in Jonesboro. A resident on Belt Street contacted 911 in a frenzied state to report that a window had been busted out. The call, the first of four released by JPD, is tense.
