    Teenager in critical condition after drowning incident in Marianna

    JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – On Sunday, Jackson County first responders were dispatched for a drowning incident.

    According to officials, it happened around 3:30 p.m when a Jackson County resident aged 13 to 14 years old was swimming at Jackson Blue Springs in Marianna.

    Officials told News 13, the young boy was struggling and then submerged under the water.

    Security check leads to the arrest of a Fort Walton Beach man

    Bystanders saw him go under and were able to pull him out, and performed CPR until EMTs arrived on the scene, officials said.

    The victim has been life-flighted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for the water in his lungs.

    Officials say he’s in critical but stable condition.
