Maricopa Association of Governments is seeking proposals for a Meridian Road corridor study from Superstition Boulevard to State Route 24, including two sections with no existing roadway.

The study is to address transportation planning needs including identifying roadway improvements between Superstition Boulevard and U.S. Highway 60; and roadway, ultimate right-of-way, lane configurations and realignment options from US60 to State Route 24.

“This study will develop recommendations that will enhance mobility, safety and connectivity for residents and businesses along the corridor,” the request for proposals states.

The document states there will be six tasks — project management plan and administration; public and stakeholder engagement; data collection and forecasting; vision, goals and transportation network; implementation and funding plan; and a final report.

Submittals for the request for proposals must be made by 3:01 p.m. Monday, July 15, by uploading to https://upload.azmag.gov/?code=MRCRST .

The estimated time frame for the project is 12 months from the date of the notice to proceed, with intermediate deliverables due in accordance with the schedule not to exceed $485,000. The date of the notice to proceed is anticipated to be Sept. 2, 2024, it states in the document.
