Amarillo Creek is Maricopa’s first ‘100% Flight Fiber’ neighborhood

Orbitel Communications announced yesterday the launch of Flight Fiber, 100% fiber-to-the-home technology.

This marks “a significant milestone in Orbitel’s ongoing commitment to delivering cutting-edge technologies to the communities it serves,” according to the company.

Amarillo Creek, on Papago Road between Amarillo Creek Parkway and Amarillo Valley Road, is Orbitel’s first community to be 100% Flight Fiber.

The burgeoning development just outside city limits is projected to grow to over 1,500 homes constructed by various builders, including Ashton Woods and Starlight Homes. This growth “demonstrates Orbitel’s steadfast dedication to be future focused,” the company states.

Orbitel has been expanding Flight Fiber throughout the City of Maricopa and integrating Flight Fiber into new construction areas. Currently, Flight Fiber is available in the newly built homes of Amarillo Creek, Province, The Lakes, Sorrento, Rancho Mirage, Trails of Maricopa, Copa Flats and El Ranch Santa Rosa.

Flight Fiber today powers nearly 3,000 homes within the City of Maricopa and growing every day.

Orbitel has invested more than $6 million to date to provide Flight Fiber multi-gig 100% fiber services to parts of Maricopa. Orbitel’s investments in Maricopa and surrounding areas will provide more choices for the local community and bring the latest fiber technologies to area residents and businesses. These local investments will create jobs, enhance infrastructure and support the area’s continued growth, Orbitel predicts.

John Schurz, president and general manager of Orbitel Communications, said he is looking forward to deploying Flight Fiber in Maricopa.
