Outreach group to exercise, evangelize in Maricopa

Paladin Sports Outreach is all about church and sports.

“Paladin’s purpose and mission is to be the influence of the local sports community by reaching and connecting youth and their families to Jesus Christ and the local church,” said Anthony Johnson, team manager for the 10U softball team that is coming to Maricopa next month.

Johnson said Paladin Sports Outreach, based in San Tan Valley and serving Arizona and Minnesota, is not a sports league.

“We are a non-denominational, Christian-based nonprofit organization serving small children, youth and adults through sport and recreation outreach,” Johnson said. “We go to where the families are, where the kids are, and where the need for positive role models and quality sports and recreational programs is greatest.”

Paladin’s season begins Aug. 13 and runs to May 15, 2025.

Paladin Softball Club is a competitive, team-oriented program designed to develop and enhance the individual and team skills needed to compete at a higher level.

The club says its vision and pledge is to provide the best coaching and player experience through effective program development and to create a positive culture in softball by executing on the Paladin Club motto of “Faith, Family, Fun and Fight.”
