Maricopa City Councilmember Vincent Manfredi was reappointed earlier this week to serve another two-year term as a member of the Maricopa Association of Governments’ Transportation Policy Committee.

Manfredi’s new term will run through June 2026.

Established in 2002, the MAG committee plays a crucial role in guiding transportation planning in the region. It is responsible for developing and implementing the Regional Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Investment Plan and provides a platform for stakeholders to collaborate on important regional transportation issues.

“With half of [State Route] 347 in Maricopa County, it’s important that we’re a part of any discussions happening with transportation dollars in the county,” Manfredi said. “A lot of the discussions revolve around East Valley, West Valley and Phoenix area, but when you get the opportunity to talk about the 347, it resonates because they don’t hear about it that often.”

He added that continuing to discuss issues with SR 347 is important “because MAG dollars are going to help pay for it.”
