There are 2 new sex offenders in town: police

Police this morning identified two registered sex offenders and their new addresses in Maricopa.

Vincent Wayne Bancroft, who was convicted of two counts of luring a minor for sexual exploitation in September, lives at 18408 W. Ironwood Dr. in Santa Rosa Crossing, Maricopa police report.

Bancroft is 27 years old, 6-foot-2 and 174 pounds, with blond hair and brown eyes.

Police said he is currently in compliance with his requirements as a registered sex offender.

Christopher Michael Montgomery, 42, was convicted of exposing himself to adult females in California in 2003. He lives at 46040 W. Sonny Road in the Maricopa Meadows.

Montgomery is described as 6 feet tall, 240 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Both men are listed as Level 2 sex offenders, defined by the state as people “deemed to pose a moderate risk of reoffending.”

Registered sex offender notifications are required under state law to be sent to all residents living within 700 feet of the offender, as well as media outlets and local schools.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety Sex Offender Registry remains accessible to the public through the online national database here.
