Poop attacks a hoax, police say

A man claiming to live in Maricopa stirred up drama online last week when he claimed someone threw a plastic bottle full of human excrement through his car window. Police this morning confirmed he’s just a troll trying to get attention.
Carlito Espinoza-Perez took to a popular Maricopa Facebook group Wednesday with a photo of a plastic bottle filled with a caramel-colored concoction he said “smells like sh*t and piss.” He claimed someone threw it into his car window after he cut the person off that morning.
Espinoza-Perez claimed the bottle was labelled “Dank Jank” adding he called the police, who said it was probably “jenkem.”
Jenkem is a “hallucinating drug” made up of “human feces and urine that has undergone fermentation,” according to Scottsdale Recovery Center’s website .
A screenshot of Carlito Espinoza-Perez’s deleted Facebook post of the alleged bottle of “Jenkem,” pulled off the internet.
Contrary to the Facebooker’s post, which has since been deleted, Maricopa Police Department never received a call from Espinoza-Perez, according to public safety spokesperson Monica Williams.
A reverse image search shows the photo Espinoza-Perez posted was not jenkem, but an image of a homemade alcoholic beverage taken from a homebrewing blog called The Mad Fermentationist dated April 13, 2011.
The Espinoza-Perez account is suspiciously empty, with nothing but a profile picture and banner of Mexican singer Chalino Sánchez.
This is not the first time the account has dreamt up fake fecal attacks to cause a stir in the group. On June 16, the user made a post accusing someone of throwing a Ziploc bag full of dog poop in his driveway.
